Our Story: From Vision to Valley Greens
Valley Greens opened in August 2024 as Peekskill’s first licensed cannabis dispensary, but the story starts long before that.
Co-founders Shane Jackson, Stephen Bond, and Daniel Berte grew up together in the Peekskill area, attending Walter Panas High School and spending their childhoods in the same neighborhoods, summer camps, and streets that still shape this community.
When New York legalized adult-use cannabis, they saw an opportunity to bring something genuinely local to their hometown.
The concept came naturally: a retro-inspired neighborhood shop modeled after Peekskill’s past general stores, where cannabis is approachable, the staff knows your name, and everyone feels welcome.
Whether you’re a first-time explorer or a longtime enthusiast, Valley Greens is built around one simple concept: great cannabis, served by people who actually call this place home.

Through programming like Yoga in the Valley, an infused sound and movement experience, and the High Society Expo, a curated cannabis vendor event, we’ve worked to build a community around this shop, not just a customer base.

What should I bring to Valley Greens for my first visit?
Just a valid, government-issued photo ID confirming you’re 21 or older. A driver’s license, state ID, or passport all work, and our team will handle the rest. First-timer or not, you’ll find a welcoming, judgment-free environment where there’s no such thing as a silly question.
Do I need to be a New York resident to shop at Valley Greens?
Not at all. Anyone 21 or older with a valid government-issued ID is welcome to shop, regardless of where they’re from. We see plenty of visitors from Connecticut and beyond who make the trip to Peekskill.
Is parking available at Valley Greens?
Our store offers several convenient parking options for guests, including one ADA-accessible space located directly in front of the entrance. You’ll also find five additional parking spots right outside the store, as well as a municipal lot just across the street.
In downtown Peekskill, parking is free on weekends and after 6 p.m. on weekdays. Before 6 p.m., parking is metered or available by permit.
What types of cannabis products do you carry?
Our menu includes flower, pre-rolls, vapes, edibles, tinctures, concentrates, topicals, and accessories, all regulated, lab-tested, and sourced from licensed New York producers. We prioritize authentically New York and small-batch brands, and our team is always happy to help you navigate the options.
Do you offer cannabis delivery in Westchester?
Yes. We deliver seven days a week across Westchester County and much of the lower Hudson Valley, from Fishkill down to White Plains and east to the Connecticut border. Visit our delivery and service area page for full coverage details.
Can I order online for pickup?
Absolutely. Browse our full menu at valleygreensny.com, add your items to the cart, and select pickup at checkout. Your order will be ready when you arrive, no waiting around.
Do you have a loyalty program or rewards?
We do. Our rewards program lets you earn one point for every dollar spent, with discounts starting at 5% off once you hit 750 points and climbing from there. Members also get birthday rewards, referral bonuses, and early access to exclusive drops. Sign up online or in-store to get started.
